Spurwink Church, located at 533 Spurwink Avenue, is owned by the Town of Cape Elizabeth and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The church is available for rent from May 1 to October 31 for various events, including wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, commitment celebrations, funerals, memorial services, and christenings. However, it is not available for regular services conducted by any religious group.
The church can accommodate up to 150 people. It does not have heating, air conditioning, or restrooms (a portable toilet is nearby). Guest parking is available across the street.
Bookings are scheduled in two-hour blocks. Each event lasts one hour, with doors unlocked one hour before the start time and locked at the end of the event. In October, events cannot start later than 6:00 PM.
Reservations for Cape Elizabeth residents are accepted starting December 1st for the following year, while non-residents can make reservations beginning January 1st of the same year.
For wedding ceremonies, fees include a one-hour rehearsal. A rehearsal is required for any wedding ceremony expecting 25 or more guests.
