2023-24 CAPE CARE APPLICATION PROCESS

Cape Care is part of Community Services and the Town of Cape Elizabeth. We have been caring for children since 1986 and are licensed to serve children ages 3 through 12 by the State of Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

Upon final approval from the State of Maine, we will be transitioning to a Public Pre-K program in addition to our existing half and full-day preschool, and before and after-school care programs.

For your child to be eligible for preschool and before and after school care, they must be three by October 15th and be fully potty trained. These programs are open to both residents and non-residents of Cape Elizabeth. Applications for these programs are processed on a first come/first serve basis.

For your child to be eligible for Public Pre-K, they must be four by October 15th and be a resident of Cape Elizabeth. If your child turns five before October 15th, they are not eligible for Public Pre-K. Applications for this program will be selected through a blind lottery process. The application deadline is April 1, 2023.

Applications are currently being accepted for all programs. Applicants will be notified by April 14, 2023, as to their enrollment status.

Contact Community Services at 207-799-2868 with any questions.
